I was so happy to find this fabric! I love to wear Tencel -- it has a drape and texture all of its own. Like rayon, Tencel is made from the cellulose in wood pulp -- so it's ecologically friendly and natural, despite being man-made. You can read more about it here. The tencel gabardine ("gabardine" describes a weave rather than a fiber content, so these are tencel fiber woven in a gabardine weave, which is like twill) have a lovely drape, and are light and breathable, while still being supportive and with a nice give to the fabric that allows it to conform to you and your baby. (Tencel twill is slightly thicker, and more supportive, than the plainweave tencel I had offered last year.)

Don't miss out on this opportunity -- tencel is hard to come by, but will make one of the most comfortable slings you'll ever wear! I know it's my new favorite.

Washing tips: Machine wash in cold water with like colors; hang dry or machine dry medium heat. You will not need to iron if you pull it out of the dryer just before it is bone dry and hang it up. Iron damp, medium heat, if needed.
