Solarveil is a patented fabric that is ideal for southern states and humid areas. It blocks UV rays with its weave and treatment (70% in a single layer), and because the weave is so open, it allows for a lot of air circulation. It can be washed with your regular laundry, according to their site. The fabric has a very distinctive texture -- not exactly scratchy, but it takes some getting used to, so keep that in mind if you or your baby have sensory issues. It softens up with repeated use. I use small-sized rings (nylon or aluminum, your choice) with a single layer, to prevent slippage during use.

Washing tips: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Do not dry-clean. Use cool iron if needed. Do not bleach. Solarveil's solar protection properties will not wash out.

I am sorry, but I am not interested in selling any of my Solarveil yardage. I was able to buy this lot from another vendor, and prefer not to part with it except as finished slings!
