I've started using the sewing slot system again. I hate to do it, but I simply can't keep up with the order volume that's been consistently high for months now. Please click the link for an explanation of how it works and why I need to use it.

At right, In-stock slots are for fabrics I have on hand (basic and organic fabrics) and will be sewing from scratch; WCRS slots are for things you're having sent to me like wrap pieces, custom fabric, or sling shoulder redos. Next refresh is the date and time I will be adding more sewing slots.

I've changed from sewing a mix of WCRS and in-stock slings each week, to just doing WCRS one week and in-stocks the next. I think this will be more efficient and allow me to sew more slings, and may also may sewing slots easier to get. Sewing slots for both types will be added every other week, in a several batches to give people in different time zones the opportunity to order. If you're looking at a product and can't see any swatches, click on the color selector for that product, pull down until you see the name of the color you're interested in, and then let go of the mouse button. The photo at left will change to reflect the chosen color. If this doesn't work on your browser, please send me an email and let me know.

Add a little pizazz to your sling with a tail accent! It will be sewn on as shown at right -- I used to do them all the way to the bottom of the tail (as is shown on the slings in the very old gallery), but feel that leaving a border of the sling fabric below the accent is a nicer look. If you would prefer a different placement, please let me know ahead of time. I can also add an open-top pocket within the accent at no extra charge; there is no closure, and the pocket will be around 8" wide by 10" deep.

When ordering your fabric, half a yard is plenty. (I will return any that remains after sewing your sling.) In general, the basic sling fabrics (twill, denim, and linen) work best with a cotton accent. If you are buying it online, you can have it sent directly to me. My mailing address will be listed in your email confirmation.

Remember, you also need to pick out a base fabric! The materials alone in a regular sling cost more than $8, not to mention my sewing time. This $8 cost is for the extra sewing only, not for a complete sling.

Also keep in mind that this does not add any length to the sling. If you select an accent, the sling will still be sewn to the length you've specified.
